Pyrrhura Conures
From Atlas of Conures by Thomas Arndt:
"The basic coloration of the genus is green. In most representatives, the underside of the tail is reddish brown. Only two of the seventeen species exhibit no edge markings on the neck or the upper chest, all have in common the naked white to blackish eye ring."

Pyrrhura conures are small, relatively quiet birds. They demonstrate extreme inquisitiveness and courage, being unaware of their small size. Their talking ability is good to large, depending on the individual.

Aratinga Conures, unlike their Pyrrhura cousins, are larger and somewhat louder in their calls. They are a beautiful, loving species and can live to be 30 or more years old if cared for properly. Some have been compared to smaller Macaws in their mannerisms. They can be sweet, playful and make great pets, but they are not the bird for everyone. If you live in an apartment the Pyrrhura may be a better choice. Or better yet a Parrotlet. The Dusky Conure is relatively quiet and a sweet bird just not as colorful as the Sun Conure.

Cost depends on the location of the breeder. I would suggest buying a good book before you purchase a conure. They are not a bird for everyone. The movie "Paulie" was a fantasy and most conures do not have a large vocabulary. My favorite Conure is the Finsch's
